I spent a day wandering New York City with a manual 35 mm lens, the Meike 35mm f/1.4, on my Canon M5. Kind of like wandering around with my old AE1 and its 50mm lens except I got to see the results much faster. I tried lots of zone focus and was often shooting from the hip pointing the camera in the general direction. Didn’t always work but did get some good shots that way.
Most of the outdoors shots were around f/16, the indoors ones f/4 – f/8 and the high bokeh ones around f/1.4 – f/2. Can’t really tell since the lens isn’t indexed for real details and its aperture setting has no clicks to see where you are in between the indexes it does have.
