USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park

On Saturday we hit the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park. Lots of great things to see but the center piece is the BB60, the USS Alabama, a South Dakota class battleship still in her World War II configuration. Wonderful museum ship with lots of space open to tour. The tour route is well laid out and easy to follow.

All shots with my Canon EOS R6mkII and either my RF 28-70 f/2.8 IS STM lens or my RF 16 f/2.8 lens. Indoors is all the 16mm.

The battleship isn’t the only attraction. There’s also the aircraft pavilion and the USS Drum, a Gato class submarine. I love that their Mark 13 torpedo has the modifications on it that turned a piece of junk into a functional, air dropped torpedo.
