Cygnus Loop SH2 103
Did not have high hopes for this with the near full moon last night and the fact that this would disappear behind trees before too long. But it was worth a shot.
Cygnus Loop, SH2 103. Also known as the Veil Nebula or at least parts of it are. I've shot the Eastern and Western Veil nebulas separately before with my Seestar but this is my first attempt at the whole complex. Lost a lot to the moon and limited shooting time but not too bad. Will have to try to get more time on this sometime and without a nearly full moon. Had to really down play the stars or much of the loop would have been even harder to see.
The Cygnus Loop is a supernova remnant from about 20,000 years ago and is about 2400 light years away.
